It's not always appropriate, or even nice, to yank up the saturation on photos when editing, but it sure can come in handy making food look delicious. Here are the before and after photos, tighter crop and bump the saturation up. Food photograph is fun, like flower photography, it's difficulty to go wrong.
And there are things a photographer can do to help a good photograph be even better.
