Abandoned Creamery

Abandoned buildings intrigue me.  Can I still feel the presence of the people who filled up this place?  If I'm quiet and still I imagine I can.  Who came by this way and when?  Who meant something to someone and how?  Who stubbed a toe?

Today I'm remembering.

I try not to wait until they are gone before I cherish them.

Abandonado edificios me intrigan.

  1. I remember as a child doing this while exploring the forests in northern California. I could sense the pioneers in their wagons traveling west; I could sense the native Americans gathered under the trees collecting pine seeds, engaged in their daily food gathering/preparation activities. When I visited the east coast I could actually see women walking in long skirts and hats. This is also why I never want to visit sites in Europe where our Jewish relations were imprisoned and tortured. This is why on a tour of Alcatraz island I was feeling pretty nauseous. Pretty amazing...^_^
